New Delhi: Petrol, diesel prices were fall down by a big margin on Wednesday after which petrol rate in the national capital Delhi fell below Rs 74 per litre mark following a gap of seven months. Today, petrol prices cut by 50-53 paise per litre while diesel prices were decresed by 40-43 paise.

After today's price slash non-branded petrol in Delhi was priced at Rs 73.57 as against Rs 74.07 on Tuesday while diesel was sold at Rs 68.49 compared to Rs 68.89 yesterday, as per data available on Indian Oil Corporation website.

In Mumbai, petrol was priced at Rs 79.12 per litre on Wednesday compared to Rs 79.62 on Tuesday. On the other hand Diesel in Mumbai became cheaper by 42 paise to Rs 71.71 per litre.

In Chennai, petrol was sold at Rs 76.35 per litre as against Rs 76.88 on Tuesday while in Kolkata petrol was sold at Rs 75.57 as against Rs 76.06 per litre yesterday. On the other hand Diesel in these cities was sold at Rs 72.34 and Rs 70.34 respectively.

Also, in the month of November till yet petrol prices have come down by nearly Rs 6 per litre whereas diesel has become cheaper by nearly Rs 5.50 across all major cities of the country.
