Jharsuguda: The continues hike in fuel has become major issue for the citizens as well for the centre government. The opposition parties are continuously attacking on the PM Modi Led NDA government for this issue. Everybody is suggesting the steps which can be adopted to reduce the fuel prices. Now, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan urged that petrol and diesel should come under the ambit of Goods and Services Tax (GST).

On Monday,The Union Minister said that he want petrol and diesel to come under the ambit of GST. The GST Council should take a decision on this. State governments are more powerful than the Centre in the GST Council meeting.

Urging reduction of VAT on fuel to Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik said that reduce VAT on petrol and diesel like other state governments. The Petroleum minister further added that central government had already deducted excise duty on petrol and diesel a few months ago.

The contnious hike in fuel prices is affecting the budget of the common men.Petrol is now being sold at Rs 82.06 per litrewhile the price of diesel has reached to Rs 73.78 per litre. in the Capital of India.
