The Bangladesh Cricket Board, on Friday, announced the warm-up match between Zimbabwe and BCB XI has been cancelled because the visitors couldn't arrive in Bangladesh as scheduled. Zimbabwe were initially expected to reach Dhaka on January 10 and the match was scheduled to take place on January 13. Incidentally, the visitors had also deferred their arrival by a day and were set to reach on January 11, only to alter their plans again following some ticketing complications.

"The warm-up game was cancelled as it would not be possible for the visitors to play a match January 13 after arriving in four separate groups," regarding cancellation of the practice game on Friday. The visitors are now scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Friday, January 12 to take part in the tri-nation series involving Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, commencing from January 15.

Match 1 – January 15, 2017 – BAN v ZIM

Match 2 – January 17, 2017 – SL v ZIM

Match 3 – January 19, 2017 – BAN v SL

Match 4 – January 21, 2017 – SL v ZIM

Match 5 – January 23, 2017 – BAN v ZIM

Match 6 – January 25, 2017 – BAN v SL

Final – January 27, 2017

The year of 2018 is set to be a busy year for the Bangladeshi side. They are lined up for a plethora of international cricket action. After this tri-nation series, they will participate in another tri-nation series in March which would involve India and Sri Lanka. This series will take place in Sri Lanka, called as the Nidahas Trophy. After this, the team will head to the Caribbean for a short series. Bangladesh are also slated to tour Australia in 2018.
