New Delhi [India], December 11 (NT): The Supreme Court on Monday rejected a plea lodged by Pradyuman's father Varun Thakur in quest of cancellation of the interim bail granted to Pinto family, the owners of Ryan International School, in links with the murder of his son.

Thakur had lodged a petition in the top court after the Punjab and Haryana High Court granted an anticipatory bail to the alleged Pinto family in a November 21 hearing.

Justice Surender Gupta, who was presiding over the case in the High Court, expelled the family from leaving the nation without consent and directed them to pull out their help in the inquiry.

On September 8, Pradyuman was found in a pool of blood with his throat slit inside the toilet of school, sparking a public chorus of disapproval following which the Gurugram Police detained bus conductor Ashok, condemning him of murder the seven-year-old student Pradyuman Thakur

On the other hand, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is now inquiring the matter, gave him a clean chit and detained a class 11 student of the school accountable for the murder.

Pradyuman's family has accused the Pinto family to be complicit in the crime. (NT)
