President Trump's approach document singles out Russia for 'offensive cyber efforts'

Washington DC [United States], Dec 19 (NT): United States President Donald Trump's primary countrywide security approach has singled out Russia for remuneration "offensive cyber efforts to influence public opinion" in other nations.

Russia has been laid blame on interfering in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

The White House on Monday published a 55-page document that foreseen conflict with "revisionist" supremacy like Russia and China, who air challenges to the United States and are looking for to revolutionize the worldwide status quo, over and over again to spoil the America's interests.

"Russia uses information operations as part of its offensive cyber efforts to influence public opinion across the globe," the released document read.

 This document further touted "Its influence campaigns blend covert intelligence operations and false online personas with state-funded media, third-party intermediaries, and paid social media users or 'trolls.'"

Though, the document doesn’t give indications that the Russian meddling in the elections, but it seems that referred Russia's proposal at a number of points.

The document also gives tips on Moscow's attempts to "meddle" in the domestic political affairs of other nations and "challenge the legitimacy of democracies."

In spite of the approach calling Russia out for 'offensive cyber efforts', President Trump didn't talk about cybersecurity throughout his speech and stated, "We will develop ways to counter those who use new domains such as cyber and social media to attack our nation or threaten our society."
