President of France, Emmanuel Macron, is on a tour of India. Today he will arrive with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh. The two leaders will jointly inaugurate Uttar Pradesh's largest solar power plant in the Mirzapur district.

French President will arrive by a special plane at the Lal Bahadur Shastri International airport in Varanasi at around 11 am where Prime Minister Modi along with Yogi Aditya Nath are likely to receive him.

UN Environment Chief Erik Solheim praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron in a tweet for initiating the ISA. He wrote, "The most precious resource in the world is political will. This is what the #InternationalSolarAlliance represents! Solar energy is the biggest win for the world. As @EmmanuelMacron has noted, its time to be absolutely consumed with practical results."

The French President will leave back for New Delhi after lunch. The Prime Minister will also address a public meeting before flying back to Delhi from the Varanasi airport.
