Washington D.C.: Former Miss world Priyanka Chopra's American TV series 'Quantico' will not be renewed for a fourth season.The show was called off on Friday by ABC, according to Entertainment Weekly.

At present into its third season, the 35-year-old actress made her US television debut in 'Quantico', which first premiered in 2015. The ‘Desi girl ‘plays the role of Alex Parrish in the terrorism drama.

Producer Mark Gordon, according to Deadline, has viewed that the show, though, was a massive hit in its debut season in 2015, the ratings dropped considerably in season 2 and still continues to see a turn down in season 3. However, it seems to be that ‘Baywatch’ actor Priyanka is all set to embark on a new project.

Apart from Quantico a number of other shows have been cancelled by ABC and wouldn’t be continuing in the next seasons. Besides this, actor Kal Penn of Harold and Kumar, whose show Designated Survivor, was also axed.

Following which, Kal on twitor handle approached Priyanka talking about collaboration on a movie project. In fact, he included John Cho, also of Harold and Kumar, into the conversation.

In recent times, a number of shows have been cancelled for renewal. Among them are Fox's 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine,' 'The Mick,' Marvel series 'Inhumans,' 'Deception,' 'The Crossing,' 'Designated Survivor,' 'Lucifer,' and 'The Last Man on Earth.'
