Pune: Maulvi arrested for Sexual exploitation, 36 children rescued

A Maulvi has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault with a child in a madrasa located in Pune. Two of the madrasa's children said that they had recently fled from here because of one of the Maulvi who came in with one of his acquaintance sexually exploited them. Police said that the accused Maulana Rahim (21) was arrested on Friday evening. In this regard, child rights activist Dr Yamini Adbe filed a complaint with the police.

After receiving the complaint, the police reached the spot and investigated the Maulvi of the madrasa. At the same time, the police have also released 36 children from the madrasas. A case against Maulvi has been registered against the Maulvi. 21-year-old Rahim Maulvi is being said to be a resident of Bihar. At the same time, most of the children living in the madrasas were also from Bihar.

Information about the incident came when an NGO searched two children fleeing madarsa. Earlier, these children refused to disclose anything but later the children opened the pole of the Maulvi's hideous work. When the Child Welfare Committee spoke to the children, then the information about the entire event in the ashram was found. That complaint child rights activist Dr Yamini Adbe said children have been freed from the seminary and placed them elsewhere.
