On Tuesday, the Hinjewadi police registered an FIR against a 40-year-old man from Kalewadi. The FIR contains the details of an assault done by the man on his male friend who refused to have sex with him. According to the reports, the attack took place on the service road along the Katraj-Dehu Road bypass. The man was going on a stroll with his friend late on Monday night. 

The 29-year-old victim hailing from Chinchwad had sustained injuries on his head during the attack. After the FIR registration, the police has booked the suspect. The suspect has been absconded under section 324 of the Indian Penal Code.

According to the officer from the Hinjewadi police station, the suspect and the complainant met in a gym a few months back. There they befriended each other. The officer added that the duo was also in a sexual relationship with each other.

The police officer also included that after the suspect got married the victim had to get physical with him. The officer added, “On Monday night, the duo had gone for a stroll. When they reached the service road around 10 pm, the suspect started pursuing the complainant to have sex with him,”

The officer also said that the victim has refused to do so saying that they should not get into the sexual relationship anymore as the suspect is a married man now. After this, the man becomes furious and assaulted the victim on road with a sharp weapon. The police have launched a manhunt for him.
