Sandringham, [U.K], Dec 26 (NT): Britain's Queen Elizabeth II admired the vigor of London and Manchester following the atrocious attacks, in a Christmas message.

The best ever reigning queen also paid homage to her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who took retirement from customary regal responsibilities this year.

The "powerful identities" of the capital and the northern English city had stood out in the course of after militant attacks as well as an overwhelming fire that smashed the inhabited tower block Grenfell Tower in London, the Queen asserted.

The 91 year-old-lady monarch was delivering a televised address to the country, which is also a fundamental royal custom of a traditional Christmas in Britain.

The sovereign queen further addressed it had been a privilege to visit sufferers of the bomb attack at a pop concert in Manchester, as she was able to witness the "bravery and resilience of survivors' first-hand."

Christmas Day is celebrated by the regal family at a church service on their nation estate in Sandringham.

Newly-engaged Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle also were together with the Royal family for their traditional Christmas Day service at the Queen's Sandringham estate.

The regal Christmas televise dates back to King George V in 1932 when it was on the radio and it was first broadcasted in 1957.(NT)
