RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday came into view before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), following several summonses for questioning in the Railway hotel's maintenance contract case.

Prasad went the CBI headquarters around 10:45 a.m. along with his daughter and MP, Misa Bharti, who is also being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate(ED) in an alleged money laundering case concerning shell companies.

CBI has also summoned Prasad's son Tejaswi, the Ex- Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, in the maintenance contract case. Tejaswi may investigate on Friday.

The CBI claimed that there was a conspiracy in ensuring that the contracts went to Sujata Hotels, for a three-acre commercial property in Patna that was acquired through a company, named Delight Marketing Company.

Sujata Hotels owners Vinay and Vijay Kochhar have been made laid blame on in the case.

The company, which bought the property from Kochhars, was later taken over by Rabri Devi and Tejaswi, alleges the CBI. Sarla Gupta, wife of Prasad’s close connect Prem Chand Gupta, was the director of Delight Marketing Company and so, she has also been named as an indict.

Besides, IRCTC Managing Director, P. K. Goel, is also accused of his participation.
