Mumbai: The well known RK Studio, established by the late actor Raj Kapoor, son of Prathvi Raj kapoor 70 years ago in Chembur, is now up for sale. The studio was terribly upset in a fire on September 16, 2017.

Sharing his sentiments with this legend place, Actor Annu Kapoor said, 'it is heartbreaking. It's an iconic place. I've also worked at this studio'

Bollywood's iconic Kapoor family has together decided to sell the extensive milestone RK Studio. Earlier Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan said that she has loving memories of the studio, built by her late renowned grandfather Raj Kapoor. The Kapoor family has taken the hard-hitting decision of selling the two acre RK Studio 70 years after it was established as it was not reasonably feasible to reconstruct it after it was devastated down in a fire last year.

In 2017, a fire broke out in the studio throughout the shoot of reality show Super Dancer 2. In this terrible fire precious memorabilia, including costumes donned by actors such as Vyjanthimala, Nargis and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan destroyed.
