Ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul once again cornered PM Modi led ruling party BJP setting the tune of Raffle deal issue. Addressing a press conference along with Congress spoke person Randeep Surjewala, Gandhi scion said that for the first time, an ex-French President called an Indian prime minister a thief adding, it is a question of the dignity of the office of Prime Minister.

Worth mention here François Hollande, former French president alleged that Modi led government pushed Dassault to associate with Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Defense for the Rs 58,000 crore Rafale fighter jet deal.

He also said that it is the question of the future of our jawans and the Air Force demanding the Joint Parliamentary Committee  investigation in the case .He said that only then  “the truth will come out”.

“It is very important for PM now to either accept Mr. Hollande's statement or state that Mr. Hollande is lying and tell what the truth is”,Congress President demanded to PM Modi that Hollande's revelation is true.

Rahul continued as saying, “Ex President of France said "We didn't have any say in this matter". What he is saying is, PM of India is a thief”.

“We're absolutely convinced that the Prime Minister of India is corrupt. This question is now clearly settled in the mind of the Indian people that 'desh ka chowkidaar' chor hai”.

Rahul fired question that Anil Ambani has never built an aircraft in his life and he floated his company few days before the deal, yet, the deal was taken away from HAL and given to Anil Ambani, who has a ₹45000Cr debt.
