Rafale fighter plane deal will not be canceled : Finance Minister

New Delhi: Congress party is attacking contentiously to the PM Modi led NDA government on Rafale deal. In response to allegation of opposition, Finance Minister Arun Jaitely has said that irrespective of all the allegations, the Rafale fighter plane deal will not be canceled.

According to News Agency  ANI, Rejecting the allegation of congress, Finance Minister said that the Rafale deal is clean and there is no question of cancelling it. Congress has claimed that planes are bought at a higher rate, in response to these finance Minister said that Rafale aircrafts are cheaper than what Congress-led UPA government had negotiated and added that all these facts and figures will be placed before the CAG.

Finance Minister has also added that Fortunately, there is pricing, and for security interest, that pricing can't be disclosed in detail. Jaitley further added that But I have come as close to this. If you take a weaponised aircraft as of 2007, add the same two things to it again and bring it to 2016 level, the 2016 level is 20% cheaper. Now the CAG will go into pricing. They may not eventually disclose it, but about being 9% and 20% cheaper or not, they are looking into it. Congress has submitted a memorandum. The truth will come out.

Rejecting the possibility of scrapping the Rafale deal due to controversy and allegations ,Minister further added asserted that these jets are coming to India as they are needed for security and defence of the country.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi and other congress leaders are in no mood to leave the government on Rafale deal and alleging it for scam in the deal, even congress senior leader Mallikarjun khadge has demanded Resignation from PM Modi.
