Gandhinagar: Three public rallies in which Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was going to deliver his address had to be postponed owing to poor weather conditions due to cyclone Ockhi, as it is expected to make a landfall in Gujarat on Tuesday night.

Two public meetings were planned at Jinn Mill Ground at Dhrangadhra and M.B. Shah College Ground at Wadhwan in Surendranagar district.

Gandhi‘s scion addressed the public gathering in Anjar but the other rallies were called off. The out of the blue cancellation left thousands of party followers to draw together at Morbi let down.

Worth mentioning here that a helicopter carrying the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi could not land in Morbi because of bumpy weather. Gandhi is likely to return to Delhi in the wee hours of Tuesday evening.
