New Delhi [India], May 03 (NT): Congress president Rahul Gandhi on his recent attack lashed out Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the condition of farmers in Karnataka on Thursday.

He alleged that the Centre failed to tackle the apathy of the peasants. The Congress scion took to his Twitter handle to share “Report Card”- a data, highlighting the initiative taken by the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government for the farmers and how they flunked to meet the expected upshot.

The data presented on micro blogging website Twitor showed that the Centre's contribution to waive off the loans in the Congress ruling Poll-bound state was none and the Prime Minister's crop insurance scheme only did good to the private insurance companies, rather than the farmers.

"Mr Modi's Report Card

State: Karnataka

Sub: Agriculture

1. Contribution to Cong State Govts 8,500 Cr Farm Loan waiver = 0 Rs

2. PM's crop insurance scheme: Farmers suffer; pvt insurance companies make huge profits.

3. No MSP+50%, for Karnataka farmers.

Grade = F,"  Rahul Gandhi tweeted.

Rahul's tweet-attack came a day after the Prime Minister accused the Siddaramaiah Government for the harsh condition of the state farmers.

Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday took on the ruling Karnataka Government and alleged them of not letting the benefits of 'Fasal Bima Yojna' reach the farmers.
