JAIPUR: The grand old Congress party is fuming because a chaiwala (tea-seller) took the Gandhi family to court, stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the last date of campaigning in the poll-bound Rajasthan.

“Rajasthan cannot be given to people on bail,” asserted PM Modi in a reference to Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia Gandhi. He was addressing a massive rally in Sumerpur town of Rajasthan's Pali district on Wednesday.

Worth mention here the Supreme Court on Tuesday allowed the Income Tax Department to re-assess the tax of Rahul and Sonia Gandhi for 2011-12 in link with the National Herald case.

UPA chairperson Sonia and Rahul were granted bail in the case by a trial court on December 19, 2015.

"Congress which created so many divisions in society in the last 70 years, how can they work in the interest of the people. First, give an account of these 70 years, then ask about 4.5 years from us,” PM Modi stated.

“The Congress has sinned. It can't do good for public anymore.”

“I can say this with confidence. Rajasthan's people have decided that BJP will win this election,” he said, adding, “I don't just have to win Rajasthan, I have to win every polling booth in Rajasthan.”

The Prime Minister also stated that the Congress party is putting effort to find possible logic so that “the responsibility of defeat does not lie on naamdar's shoulders.”

“I wasn’t born with a gold spoon. I’ve seen hard times in my life. I’m one of you people,” stated the Prime Minister.
