Mumbai: National Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar cornered the Narendra Modi government at the Centre for worsening to address the legal concerns of the farmers of the nation and make right policies for them.

The veteran NCP leader stated this while addressing a  public meeting in Mumbai on Monday during which he stated that despite discussing the issues being faced by the farmers, Ram temple has become the top main concern of the ruling BJP.

Pawar also went on to even lay blame on the Modi government of turning away people's attention from real issues and attempting to split the nation on religious lines.

“Be it loan waiver or other policies, this government is unsuccessful in formulating right policies for farmers and today problems faced by farmers are not being addressed, only Ram temple is being discussed. This government has worked towards diverting people's attention. We have to be aware of this," he  was quoted by Zee news as saying.

Pawar had earlier stormed a controversy for giving a clean chit to the Narendra Modi government over the Rafale fighter jet deal inked between India and France.

On the other hand hitting out at the ruling dispensation, the grand old Congress party said that Sharad Pawar's 'clean chit' to PM Narendra Modi is a BJP’s conspiracy.
