On the occasion of Eid ul Fitr, also known as the sweet eid, sevaiyan is made as a sweet dish to celebrate the end of fasting month of Ramadan. Ramadan is the holy month of Muslims, they fast for straight 30 days from sunrise to sunset without the intake of food or water. 

Seviyan is an indispensable part of Eid festivities. It is so tasty that you can’t get enough even when your stomach is full. 

The dish basically forms the Muslim eastern countries and is prominent in the Muslim households all over the world.

Ingredients of Seviyan

ï‚·1 1/4 cup vermicelli
ï‚·10 clove
ï‚·4 cup milk
ï‚·1/4 cup chopped raisins
ï‚·1/2 cup butter
ï‚·6 green cardamom
ï‚·3/4 cup brown sugar
ï‚·3 teaspoon rose water
ï‚·
Step 1

Start to heat butter in a pan over moderate flame. Once the butter melts, add cloves and green cardamoms. Saute well for 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 2
 add the vermicelli and fry for a few minutes. Try to keep it long.
Step 3
Add milk and let it boil for some time. Add dry fruits to the milk. Cook until the vermicelli becomes soft. And the dry fruits are cooked.
Step4
Keep it in the fridge to chill and serve after lunch/dinner. Garnish it everytime you eat.
