It was rumors about the popular Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone passing away were doing the rounds on social media yesterday. Having faced a similar situation last year as well, Stallone took upon himself to validate the social media reports of his death through a social media post. His younger brother Frank also took to Instagram and termed those spreading the hoax as “mentally deranged”.

“Please ignore the stupidity. Alive and well and happy and healthy…Still punching!” the 71-year-old Stallone, the hero of the popular Rambo and Rocky series, posted on his Twitter handle.

Terming the social media reports of his brother’s death as rumours, Frank, 67, said, “What kind of sick demented cruel mind things of things like this to post? People like this are mentally deranged and don’t deserve a place in society.”

Hollywood on-screen character Rambo brought up that the images intent to indicate him suffering an ailment that influenced him to lose his hair were likely from a scene he has recorded for one of movies. This isn't the first occasion when that incorrect messages of Sylvester's destruction had overflowed social media. In 2016, a British media news site had claimed he was dead, provoking him to transfer a photograph of himself with Russian boxer Sergey Kovalev on Instagram.  Sylvester’s last post on social media was made on Sunday to promote his new film Creed II.
