The ex-couple of Bollywood, Deepika and Ranbir were supposed to walk the ramp together in a Fashion Show. They were decided to walk for the ace designer Manish Malhotra at the Mijwan Fashion Show on April 9 this month. However, owing to their ill health, the event was cancelled at the last-minute.

A spokesperson from the organizer's team, handling the event had confirmed the same. They said in his statement that, ''We regret to inform you that the Mijwan Fashion Show scheduled in Mumbai at the Grand Hyatt on 9th April 2018 has been postponed by a week or so. Both
our show stoppers Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone have taken ill and we are waiting for them to recover. We will inform you as soon as a new date is finalised. Apologies for the inconvenience caused and hope you will bear with us.''

But now there is a good news for all the fans of Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor. According to the reports in a leading daily, the two will now walk the ramp on April 19, 2018. When asked about walking for the show, Ranbir had said, "We, the young people of India, need to turn our attention towards rural India and focus on empowering the girl child. My sister Riddhima and I were raised as equals and I want every girl and boy to be treated equally. To my young friends, I say “Be the Change you wish to see in the world. You can do it and your time starts now."

Also, Deepika had shared an Exclusive interview with Pinkvilla in which she stated that “I have walked the ramp many times before, but this is truly a fashion show with a difference because Manish Malhotra bridges the urban-rural divide by taking the traditional craft of chikankari and fashioning it into contemporary silhouettes in his signature style. Mijwan Welfare Society's work over the last 9 years has been instrumental in giving the women and girl children of Mijwan the confidence to negotiate a better future for themselves. Congratulations to Shabanaji and Namrata for carrying forward Kaifi Saheb’s dream and inspiring us to become active participants in the process of change."
