Rashid Khan continued his domineering form in the shortest format of the game by grabbing four wickets due to which his side Afghanistan crushed Bangladesh in the second T20I on Tuesday. Afghanistan’s second consecutive win also bagged a 2-0 unassailable lead in their first home series.

With a clinical bowling performance, the 19-year-old leg-spinner baffled the batsmen. He clinched the figures of 4/12 single-handedly so that the Tigers restricted to 134/8 in 20 overs. In reply, the hosts trotted home side with six wickets in hand. Teammate and fellow colleague from Sunrisers Hyderabad- Mohammad Nabi also took a couple of wickets before a 31 run cameo rounded off a inclusive performance by the hosts.

In this match in Dehradun, Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and elected to bat. Opener Liton Das and middle-order batsman Sabbir Rahman went to pavilion within the first five overs, after which seasoned campaigners- Mushfiqur Rahim and Tamim Iqbal forged a 45-run partnership.

However, the ill-timed exit of Rahim put the spectators on the back foot. However, it was Rashid Khan’s triple hit in the 16th over completely changed the outlook of match and teased Bangladesh’s hopes of reaching 150

After a credible win on Tuesday, Afghanistan will be seeking for yet another professional performance to finish the series with a clean sweep.
