Gurugram: The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday will pay attention to the plea of the bail of the Pinto family, proprietor of Gurugram’s Ryan International School, in links with the murder of seven-year-old class II student Pradyuman Thakur.

Throughout the last hearing of the Pradyuman case on November 17, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is inquiring the case, had to conflict the bail plea of the three trustees of the school and demanded that their custody should be granted to the CBI.

The CBI stated that the role of the Pintos in the likely larger conspiracy cannot be ruled out and added that the Pinto may “misuse their liberty” if granted bail.

The investigating agencies have earlier stated that the Pintos- Augustine Pinto, Grace Pinto and Ryan Pinto- were concerned in the obliteration of evidence in the case.

The Pintos were granted an anticipatory bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court in October. Pradyuman Thakur's family, conversely, had moved the Supreme Court to challenge the bail.

The CBI detained a class XI student of the same school as the primary accused in the murder case, almost two months after the Gurugram police had detained bus conductor Ashok Kumar in links with the case.

The accused juvenile had allegedly confessed the crime in order to make sure that a parent-teacher meeting and an examination were deferred.
