As important was the role of not violence activists like Mahatma Gandhi Ji in the freedom struggle, so were the revolutionaries who changed the idea of freedom struggle completely.

When we talk about the sacrifices that Bhagat Singh, Sukh Dev, and Raj guru made for this country, we get goosebumps.

Remembering Sukhdev on his 111th  birth anniversary is just another tribute to his atonement.

Sukh dev witnessed barbarity from the Imperial British Raj, eventually, he grew hatred towards the Britishers and he had different ideas in his mind. He joined the revolutionaries, he pledged to set India free.

After becoming the member of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association, he made revolutionary cells in Punjab and other parts of North India as well. Along with his friends, he made Naujawan Bharat Sabha whose main motive was to make the youth of India to participate in the freedom struggle.

In 1929 he even participated in the Prison hunger strike. After the central assembly hall bombing, he was convicted and arrested. Later a decision of death sentence was granted to him and his conspirators.

On March 23, 1931, he was hanged to death and the body was secretly cremated on the banks of Sutlej river. The brave man was just 24 when he had done enough for the country that even after 111 years we remember his of his bravery and courage.
