Rishi Kapoor's ancestral home in Pakistan to be converted into a museum on his request

It is well known fact that legendary  Raj Kapoor, Prithviraj Kapoor's son, was born in Peshawar, Pakistan. The Kapoor Khandan's ancestral home, Kapoor Haveli, which is in the Qissa Khan Bazar of Peshawar, will soon be converted into a museum, as reported . As per the reprots, The Pakistan Government has taken this decision on the request of Rishi Kapoor, who is currently undergoing treatment in New York. The Haveli was built by Prithviraj Kapoor's father Basheswarnath Kapoor. The Kapoor family left Peshawar after the partition in 1947. 
 
As per the reports of  PTI, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that , "There was a call from Rishi Kapoor. He requested that his family's home in Peshawar should be made into a museum or some sort of institution. We have accepted his request."

Pakistan's State of Interior Minister Shehryar Khan Afridi  said  that Kapoor contacted him over call to preserve his family's house in Peshawar and “we are responding positively to his request.” He further added that He had called me and talked about making his ancestral home into a museum. Now the federal and provincial governments are working on this and will transform the house into a museum soon,"
