World number one tennis star Roger Federer showcased a rich vein of form as he eased past Serbia's Filip Krajinovic in straight sets to storm into the fourth round of the Indian Wells Masters here on Tuesday. The defending champion was dominant throughout the match as he needed just 57 minutes to prevail 25th seeded Krajinovic 6-2, 6-1 in a one sided last-32 clash of the men's singles event.

Reflecting on the match, Roger Federer said that he played an aggressive form of tennis at the same time also mixing up his game nicely with drop shots. "I was playing aggressive and feeling like he was not loving my slice, and then also mixing in with drop shots eventually," Federer said. " I think really I was able to mix up my game nicely, make it difficult for him there," the ATP website quoted Federer, as saying.

The 36-year-old senior tennis star, who has already won the Australian Open and Rotterdam Open this year, will now lock horns Frenchman Jeremy Chardy for a place in the quarter-finals. It should be noted that Federer is bidding to snap his own mark as the oldest player to ever win the tournament, after setting the record last year.
