Royal wedding: PETA India's 'Merry' gift for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 19 (NT): In the wake of the much-anticipated British royal wedding of Prince Harry and Hollywood actress Meghan Markle, animal rights association PETA India have taken a decision to gift a bull, named Merry, a hybrid of the name Meghan and Harry, to the couple.

Merry, at present is located in at a sanctuary in Maharashtra, was found single-handedly and suffering from a deep wound on his neck when he was rescued by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

In an interview to ANI, PETA India Associate Director of Celebrity and Public Relations Sachin Bangera asserted that through this gift, they want to widen awareness on animal brutality. He added that we have named the bull after Prince Harry and Markle. It's almost not possible to gift the Bull, as it belongs to Maharashtra, India, So, we have made a portrait of Merry, which we have framed and has his story written on it, now we will send this portrait to the royal couple.

It is noted that The royal wedding is all set to take place on Saturday at England's Windsor Castle. (NT)
