Roza Iftar organised by Syeda Tahira Begum Foundation for poor

Recently, the Syeda Tahira Begum Foundation (STBF) has organized a Roza Iftar for the needy and underprivileged sections of society. The foundation organised this at three locations in the national capital region reports ANI.

On May 18 and May 26, the Roza Iftar was organised at Tikona Park, Batla House, Okhla and at Matkashah Peer Baba, Pragati Maidan. The event has witnessed the huge participation of Muslims. 

The foundation got established 14 years ago which has been backed by a group of people who believe in selfless service. They work for those who are in some sort of crisis (financial, social, legal or psychological) irrespective of their caste, creed or religion.

Though, the financial resources are very much limited in the foundation but are also sufficient to run its programme till now. And fortunately, now the foundation will reach to more and more people. While the major programs of the foundation include free health camps, monetary help to needy patients, sponsoring of coaching of brilliant needy students, carrier counselling camps, financial and legal help to needy and destitute women, legal, financial and psychological help to the old age people.

The Managing Trustee of the group, Reshma Yasmin, said that she is engaged in helping needy sectors of society and has even provided considerable sums from her own support to assure her project's success.
