NEW DELHI: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday attacked again on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Rupee plunged to 70.08 - lowest-ever - against the US Dollar. Rahul Gandhi said that the national currency has given a ''no confidence to the Supreme Leader’’. His remarks came hours after when the Indian rupee touched its all time lowest mark 70.08.

The Congress scion took to micro blogging website Twitter and wrote, ''The Indian #Rupee just gave the Supreme Leader, a vote of NO confidence, crashing to a historic low.  Listen to the Supreme Leader's master class on economics in this video, where he explains why the Rupee is tanking.''

 

 

The remarks from the Congress president came after the Indian Rupee crashed to a historic new low against the mighty US dollar on Tuesday amid fears over a rise in global protectionist measures, along with a strong US economy.

However, The Rupee, recovered by a fraction at Rs 69.98, but around 11 am, the rupee plunged to 70.08 - lowest-ever - against the US dollar. Earlier the Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday remarked that he is married to his party when he asked about his plans to get married during his Hyderabad visit.

The Gandhi scion chief has come to Hyderabad on a two-day visit and also predicted that Narendra Modi will not become Prime Minister in 2019.
