On Monday, the Supreme Court has announced to listen to the appeal of a mob lynching survivor from Hapur. He has demanded a court-monitored Special Investigation Team (SIT) to look into the matter.

Apart from the SIT investigation, the victim has also demanded the transfer of case and successive trial outside Uttar Pradesh. He also has complained that his appeal was ignored by the police and his complaint was not filed. Further, he complained that the bail of the culprit should be canceled.

Last month, the 4 people who have been considered to be the culprits of the case, were released on bails, post their statement in which they said that they were in no way related to the case.

As per the sources, it has been informed that Dipak Misra, the Chief Justice of India (CJI), asserted regarding the same that an urgent hearing was required about the same, post the UP Police declared the incident as a road rage mishap.
The 38 years old victim, Qasim was brutally beaten up and murdered. While 65-year-old Shamsuddin was beaten to injury by a mob in the Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh.  The mob attacked them based on a suspicion that the two men were indulged in cow slaughter.
