Sri Lanka successful drew against India in the final test match. Sri Lanka youth batsmen who played very defensive against world class bowling unit. But Sri Lanka’s cricket board (SLCB) has complained to the ICC about the poor air quality in which its players were subjected to during the Test match in the Indian capital New Delhi. Sports minister of Sri Lanka Cricket Board, Dayasiri Jayasekara said that “we can’t play like this as four players had vomited” due to the pollution. Sri Lanka and India play their third and final Test which ended on Wednesday at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium. Sri Lanka’s cricketers wore masks during the match and the bowlers complained of being short of breath.

 

After the third day when the host India is on the field, Pace bowler Shami had said the pollution level was not as bad as it was being made out to be. However, the air quality in Delhi was hazardous all through Monday and continued to be in the same category on Tuesday when Shami himself was affected. "The pollution is not that much as shown, or maybe we are habituated to it. We should reduce the things that creates pollution," Shami added. Shami who also found suffer from poor air pollution provided drinks and was taken off the attack as skipper Kohli deployed his spinners R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja in the fading light.
