Lucknow(U.P.): Samajwadi Party ruler Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday stated that his priority was strengthening the party organisation and he was not thinking of an alliance ahead of the "crucial" 2019 general elections.

Expressing that the process of discussions and talks on seat allocations is “a waste of time”, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister, who had shaken hands with the grand old party Congress for the assembly Polls in 2017, feint associations as of now.

"The 2019 election is certainly crucial as the message from Uttar Pradesh will go out to the entire country. As of now, I am not thinking of an alliance with any party. It (alliance talks and seat negotiations) wastes a lot of time and I dont want to be in confusion (over seats),"  Former CM Yadav said an exclusive interview taken by PTI .

Yadav asserted that he was working on escalation of the party’s vote bank.

Telling that the party could haggle at a later stage if an association materializes, he said his approach of politics is special and he is open to "friendships" with of one mind parties. On the other hand, his priority at present is to make stronger the organization of the party.

Yadav also declared that the SP would fight the Lok Sabha polls where its organization is strong.
