Indian Young guns continued charismatic performance at ongoing ISSF Shooting World Championships. Our super champ Hriday Hazarika has shot a GOLD in the 10m Air Rifle Junior Men's event here on Friday.Worth mention here the 17-year-old Hazarika is the solo Indian to qualify for the men’s final with a score of 627.3. He was tied with Iran’s Mohammed Amir Nekounam on 250.1 once the field was shortened to the regulation top eight.

Taking a twitter Rajyavardhan Rathore congratulated Hriday as saying , “GOLDEN SHOT! Young guns blazing! Many congratulations to our super champ Hriday Hazarika who has shot a GOLD in the 10m Air Rifle Junior Men's event in the @ISSF_Shooting World Championships. Well Done Hriday! Have a brilliant future ahead”.

Indian shooter Hazarika clinched the yellow metal after prevailing in a shoot-off at the prominent International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) tournament.

In the same event the bronze went to Russia’s Grigorii Shamakov. He managed a score of 228.6 in the final.

The women’s 10m air rifle team of Elavenil Valarivan (631), Shreya Agarwal (628.5) and Manini Kaushik (621.2) produced an astounding performance to total 1880.7 for gold with a world record to snow boot.

On a related note the score by Elavenil, who is now a junior world cup gold-medallist, was also set a new junior world record.

The men’s team, including Hazarika, Divyansh Panwar and Arjun Babuta, finished fourth spot with a combined total of 1872.3.

There was distress for the country in the senior men’s 50m rifle three position competitions as none of the Indians in fight managed to make the entry for the finals.

Asian Games 2018 silver-medallist Sanjeev Rajput was the lowest placed Indian at 58th with a score of 1158.
