Today with the beginning of Karnataka election results in 2018, there has been a tremendous pressure on who is going to win. Recently, at 09.50 am, leads clearly indicated that BJP is emerging as a single large party. Though according to the sources, it is not clear that whether it will gain a simple majority.

According to the leading news agency, right now Congress is ahead in 62 seats, BJP in 106 and JD(S) in 46.

In the leading states of the election, many politicians are giving their comments of confidence. Recently, BJP minister Sadananda Gowda stated with full confidence that there is no question of alliance(with JDS) as we are already crossing 112 seats.

While Congress minister Mallikarjun Kharge said that correct position will be known at 11-11.30 am. I am going to discuss it ( possibility of an alliance with JDS) with Ghulam Nabi Azad and Ashok Gehlot, tweets ANI.

Meanwhile, since 2014 general elections, the Congress party has been defeated by the BJP in over a dozen states. This has drastically shrunk Congress political footprint. Today, on May 15, vote count will decide the political fate of key players like Siddaramaiah, B.S Yeddyurappa,
Malikarjun Kharge, and H.D Deve Gowda and HD Kumaraswamy.

According to the states, BJP fielded 223 candidates, while the Cong and the Janata Dal (Secular) fielded 222 and 201 candidates respectively. While out of the 224 seats, 36 reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs) and 15 of them are for Scheduled Tribes (STs).
