The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has snatched the captaincy from Sana Mir and handed over it to the 26-year-old Bismah Maroof of the Women's ODI team. According to Wesbite 'ESPNcricinfo.com.com' report, PCB says that in view of the poor performance of the team in the ICC Women's World Cup in June this year, the captaincy of the team has been handed over to Maroof.

Three days ago, Sana had refused to her team members to take part in training sessions and fitness camps through an email after which the PCB took this decision.

Not only has the board taken the captaincy of Pakistan Women's ODI team from Sana but has also made several changes in team management. In this order, PCB has removed Women's General Manager Shamla Hashmi from her post. Apart from this, the selection committee headed by Mohammed Ilyas is also been dismissed. PCB has also removed the female team manager Ayesha Ashar from her post. However, they have been given her the responsibility of the general manager on an interim basis. Even though Sana is no more the captain of the  women's ODI team, she will be present in the team as a player.

PCB Chairman Najam Sethi said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the falling performance of the team. The board hopes that the team will succeed in empowering the women team.
