First woman of Asian descent to receive Emmy best actress nomination: Sandra Oh

Remember the Cristina Yang of Grey's Anatomy, the ABC medical drama series also known for her role in ‘The Princess Diaries’, ‘Under the Tuscan Sun’,' 'Big Fat Liar' and 'Double Happiness.' The lady has achieved her sixth nomination for covert Emmy awards that eventually leads her to create history as she is now the first woman of Asian descent to be nominated for lead actress in a drama.

Sandra Miju Oh, the well known Canadian actress have received the Emmy nomination for Best Actress for her BBC America thriller drama series, 'Killing Eve'. The 46-year-old have portrayed Eve Polastri, an MI5 security officer who follow and observe Jodie Comer’s character. For this tremendous role Vulture named her the Best Actress on TV.

Her first five Emmy nominations she received for Best supporting actor regularly from 2005 to 2009 for her remarkable role in Grey’s Anatomy. After leaving the show in 2014 the acclaimed lady contributed in a ‘Catfight’ movie with Anne Heche. She got her dream role while portraying Eve Polastri where she seemed to be as darkly funny, sexy, heartbroken, curious, and furious.

Notably, Archie Panjabi has fetched the first Emmy award for Best Supporting Actress in 2010 for Asian countries.
