Sanjay Dutt who has been seen playing many movies in various characters recently he has signed a musical comedy which will be directed by Ajay and Lovel Arora. The film is titled as Blockbuster.

The story will be written by duo Sajid-Farhad who previously worked on Dhamaal, Golmaal Returns and Housefull 2 scripts.
 
Not only this but Sanjay Dutt  has also signed the film Panipat. It will be helmed by Ashutosh Gowariker and also stars Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. 
 
About this musical comedy, a source informed, "The film marks Sanjay’s return to the comedy genre. The team had conducted an extensive recee in Goa and Mauritius for the multi-starrer being produced by Sandeep Singh who had earlier collaborated with the actor on Bhoomi. A big studio is expected to come onboard as co-producers shortly."
 
Producer Sandeep Singh said, "The musical-comedy will have five songs and we are currently in the process of finalising the ensemble cast."
 
Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt doesn't want to be a part of any slapstick comedy. About the same, a source had said, "Sanju never said he’ll not do comedy films. But he’s being conscious that it should not be a typical slapstick or vulgar comedy. He feels that a film need not have nudity in it or use a cuss word."
 

Sanjay Balraj Dutt (born 29 July 1959) is an Indian film actor and producer known for his work in Hindi cinema (Bollywood). The son of veteran Hindi film actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt, he made his acting debut in 1981 and has since appeared in more than 100 Hindi films.

Although Dutt has enjoyed great success as a lead actor in genres ranging from romance to comedy, it has been the roles of gangsters, thugs and police officers in the drama and action genres that have won him much appreciation. The Indian media and audiences alike popularly refer to him as Deadly Dutt for his larger-than-life portrayals of such characters.
