A year ago, Saket Chaudhary's satire on education system in India in the form of Hindi Medium struck the right chord with the audience. The story of a couple who decide to go to any length to get their daughter's admission into one of the prestigious English-medium schools, won critics' appreciation and fans' love. And latest buzz suggests that the makers are planning a sequel to the film.
According to a report, Bollywood actor Irrfan has revealed that producer Dinesh Vijan is working on a sequel of his hit movie, which will fast-forward the film by a decade with his five-year-old daughter Pia now in her teenage. While his father in the movie Irrfan Khan will return as Raj Batra, a rich Delhi-based businessman, buzz has it that Sara Ali Khan might be roped in to play his on-screen daughter in Hindi Medium 2.
A source told the daily, "Saif Ali daughter Sara is one of the top contenders to play the daughter," adding that Saba Qamar's comeback is unlikely to happen in the sequel. When asked about the sequel, Dinesh told the daily, "I have just finished the script work and I am going to get into the casting now to execute my project." The film is expected to go on floors in August this year.
