During the Apollo 16 mission in 1972, scientists analyzing an old rock collected from the surface of the Moon say that the inner part of this satellite of the Earth appears very dry.

The question of moisture on the moon is important because the amount of water and other volatile elements and compounds signifies the history of the Moon and its formation.

In America, the University of California San Diego's James Dey said, "It has been a big question that the moon is dry or moisturized. This may sound slight, but in reality, this is important. ' He said that the results show that when the moon was made, it was very hot.

Researchers believe that it would have been so hot that any other volatile element or compound under the conditions of water or the moon would have evaporated very long ago.

This conclusion was done by the researchers in 1972, during an Apollo 16 campaign, analyzing an old rock collected from the surface of the Moon.
