Former Australian skipper and legendary leg spinner Shane Warne, who is the mentor of Rajasthan Royals has apologised to fans for the poor performance their team against Chennai Super Kings. Shane Warner pleaded with the fans to not lose hope after their team loss three games. RR lost by 64 runs against CSK at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, which is Rajasthan second consecutive loss on Friday night. Shane Watson smashed a century as CSK moved to the top of the IPL 2018 standings. Rajasthan were bundled for a small total of 140 runs after CSK has posted mammoth total of 204/5.

It was Rajasthan's third defeat in five games of this season. Rajasthan Royal are now placed on fifth in the point-table. After the match on Friday-night, Shane Warne took to Twitter and offered his apologies to the fans who witnessed another dismal performance by his team.

“Apologies to all the @rajasthanroyals fans as that was a terrible display tonight in all 3 departments. The boys are trying & will come good so don’t lose hope, stay patient - we will get it right. Win the next 2 games and be 4/3 at the halfway stage - 2/5 is not ok !#”, a gutted Warne tweeted after his team's defeat.

Warne also praised his countryman Watson for his century. RR skipper Ajinkya Rahane also lauded the Super Kings' performance in the post-match presentation. "Credit goes to CSK the way they played, especially Watson at the top of the order. Unfortunately, we dropped that catch. But, the way he played was incredible. If you field well and take the catches, it'll help. Our players are working hard on fielding. We need to work hard and move forward," said the RR captain.
