Singaporean PM gives congratulatory letter to Kim Jong-un

Pyongyang [North Korea], June 13 (NT): After a historic meet with US president Trump, North Korean superemo Kim Jong-un received a letter from Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Tuesday.

In a letter Singaporean Prime Minister congratulated him for the successful Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)-United States of America (US) summit meeting.

In the letter worth mentioned that the joint statement signed by Kim and US President Donald Trump is the first major step in the long course toward permanent peace and stability on the denuclearized Korean Peninsula, according to KCNA.

The letter further read that Singapore is honored as the historic summit was sponsored here.

It also said that “Singapore wishes that the DPRK and the US will make achievements in implementing their agreements.

The Singaporean Prime Minister in the letter also expressed his wish to meet Kim again in the near future”, as quoted by ANI

After the much awaited summit, addressing a press conference in Singapore, US President Trump on Tuesday assured North Korea that the US will lift the sanctions imposed on the isolated nation after it's makes sure that nuclear missiles are "no longer a factor". (NT)
