The Indian women's hockey team suffered a 1-4 loss to hosts Spain in the fourth match, leaving them behind with a score of 1-2 in the five-match series. For Spain, Lola Rara scored two goals in the 10th and the 34th minute, while the other two goals were scored by Lucia Jimenez in the 19th and Carmen Kano in the 37th minute. Udyata scored the only goal in the 22nd minute from India. 

Spain had defeated India 3-0 in the opening match, the second match was a 1-1 draw. The visiting team won the third match by 3-2 in the series, but in the fourth match, they had to face the defeat once again.  While making pressure on India, Spain had achieved two penalty corners in the first five minutes, but the Indian team failed both the efforts.

The Spanish team looked very aggressive in the first 20 minutes, in which they scored two goals. The visiting team tried to play with the defense and this resulted in the goal at 22nd minute of the match by Udyata. Spain scored the third goal in the 34th minute on the penalty corner. Three minutes later, the edge turned out to be 4-1, which proved to be crucial later and India lost the match.
