Supreme Court orderes to continue demolition drive in Kasauli

On Tuesday, in Himachal Pradesh’s Kasauli, a guesthouse owner shot an assistant PWD town planner dead. As per the reports, she was executing a Supreme Court judgment ordering demolition of illegal constructions in the hilly state.

Recently, leading the case Supreme Court has ordered demolition drive to continue in Kasauli, in the presence of adequate security, after Assistant Town and Country Planning officer, Shail Bala Sharma was allegedly shot dead by an owner of a hotel. According to the sources, mortal remains of the deceased Shail Bala Sharma handed over to the family members in Shimla.

Vijay Singh is the accused, owner of one of the hotels, who allegedly shot dead the officer Shail Bala Sharma. The accuses mother said that her son's mind was disturbed for many days. When asked about the incident lady said that she didn't see nor do she know who killed her. We did everything that the authorities asked us to do.

Earlier, when a team of the public works department (PWD) began pulling down a part of Narayani Guest House at Mando Matkanda then its owner Vijay Singh who is 51 years old fired three rounds, leaving assistant town planner Shail Bala dead and while another officer seriously injured. Guest House owner Singh disappeared into the nearby forest after the incident. Solan police have declared a reward of Rs 1 lakh for anyone who will give information leading to his arrest.
