Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has been finding it ambitious to get back in the national squad for a very long time since. While the main reason attributed to his continuous exile from the Indian team is his failure to clear the Yo-Yo test which is compulsory to pick in the team, the UP cricketer hasn’t lost hope. Raina, who recently appeared, hosted by Gaurav Kapur, talked about the selection and his determination to get back in the national team.

"I have got this passion to get back. Everyone has made a comeback. Yuvraj Singh’s comeback can’t be replicated by anyone, Ashish Nehra played at age of 38 and that has inspired me. If not today then tomorrow, not tomorrow then the day after tomorrow, if not then after 10 days, if not then 10 months after but they have to let me play,” said Raina.

The cricketer, along with Yuvraj Singh, however, has been overlooked yet again by the selectors for upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, scheduled after the third Test of the three-match series in Delhi from December 2-6. The fans, who were not happy with the team selection, lashed out at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), after the two cricketers were sidelined yet again.

Raina, who also celebrated his 31st birthday on Monday, was wished by fellow cricketer Rohit Sharma, who also hoped that everything falls in place for the left-handed batsman.
