"I prayed to Shiva for a son and he sent me one of his Ghosts!", exclaimed Bhubaneswari Devi, losing her head on little Narendra. Her little son was the naughtiest amongst all the children of their locality. Well, not just mischief, Narendra was also in the merits when it came to academics. In the later years of his life, he gained wisdom under the guidance of his teacher 'Ramakrishna Paramahansa'. After Narendra attained wisdom, he became a monk and grew up to be known as 'Swami Vivekananda'.

Vivekananda has been a renowned scholar and is counted amongst world's greatest philosophers.

Vivekananda worked towards guiding the youth towards the correct path of life and discouraging smoking and consumption of alcohol which was quite popular amongst the youth of British India.

The scholar is known to have worked against the various social issues that prevailed then and also encouraged various social reforms. He provided a wider aspect of life and also preached about the necessity of education. Vivekananda said, "We want the education by which the character is formed, the strength of mind is increased, intellect is expanded and by which one can stand on one's own feet.
