Hyderabad: Fed up of being sidelined, top TRS leader T. Harish Rao is said to be seriously considering plans to move to the BJP on an invitation from top leaders of the party. According to the report, top BJP leaders have approached Harish Rao and held talks with him, promising him to make the chief ministerial candidate in the next elections.

The saffron party, which is looking for a strong leader to galvanize the cadres, could not find a better leader than Harish Rao. If Harish Roa leaves TRS, the party will get affected. The split of the party may also take place as Mr. Harish Rao has a well-established network.  BJP will get the benefit if Harish Rao joins the party as it is eagerly waiting for an opportunity to establish a stronghold in South India.

On his part, Harish Rao, too wants a platform to display his strength. He has realized that there is no future for him in the TRS as the entire power has been granted to TRS working president KT Rama Rao, son of party founder and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Mr. Harish Rao may take the decision over this crucial issue after Lok Sabha elections. While the daily, at the end of the story, indicated that it was just an April Fools’ Day prank, analysts do not rule out such a possibility.
