Filmmaker Karan Johar’s upcoming film ‘Takht’ is creating lot of buzz since the announcement of the film. The fans are very excited about this period drama. One of the reason behind the excited of fans is its actors as the film features an interesting cast including Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. Karan Johar said that the story is based on a true historical account and it will be treated with dignity in the film.

Karan Johar shared film related information to media. Film Padmaavat which was also a period drama has created lot of controversies due to its content. On the risk associated in making film based on history, Karan said that Is not my interpretation of history but what happened then. The story is based on the Mughal empire and what people know. Every writer and director has their interpretation of history, but in this case, we are not creating anything.
