Qabooli biryani or called qubooli is cuisine loved by Hyderabadis mostly the nawabi food is truly for the eyes as well as for the taste buds. The recipe looks simple and unassuming but one take of the recipe will take you to the land of nawabs and their royalty. The qabooli biryani is prepared with only one dal/lentil that is is the flavour of Chana Dal or split Bengal gram.Qabooli birayni is beautiful, fragrant and has the rich flavours and taste in it. the rice, chana dal, yoghurt and spices when all these are cooked together in a dum, the whole quality of this chana dal biryani changes into a royal feast. 

You don't need to visit any hotel or restaurant to have a bite of this royal dish. We all here bringing you method of making this lavish dish at your home by chef Kunal Kapur Try it. 

-Ingredients Of Qabooli
250 gms soaked rice
3-4 green cardamom
2 cinnamon sticks
3-4 cloves
2 Tbsp oil
200 gms soaked chana dal
250 ml yogurt
1 tsp pepper corns
Salt
2 black cardamom
1 tsp shahi jeera
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
2 green chillies
8-10 mint leaves
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
2 tsp desi ghee

-How to Make Qabooli

Boil some water with green cardamom, cinnamon sticks, cloves, oil & salt.Add soaked rice to it.Take soaked chana dal, yoghurt, peppercorns, green & black cardamoms, cinnamon stick cloves, shahi jeera, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, mint leaves, turmeric powder, red chilli powder & mix well.In another pan make layers of boiled rice & channa dal mixture.Add desi ghee & let it cook.
