Before this, members of the same outfit burnt 'Padmaavat' posters and protested against the exhibition of the movie in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow and said, "We will protest in front of every theatre and urge not to screen the movie".

The Supreme Court, just, stayed notifications issued by the four states - Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat - to disallow the screening of 'Padmaavat'(Padmavati) which is helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

In its interim order, the top court noted that all states are constitutionally indebted to uphold law and order and prevent any annoying unpleasant incident during the release of the film after consent has been granted by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The Film has run into trouble time and yet again, as members of numerous Rajput groups have laid blame on the director of the film, Bhansali to distort history.

The epic periodic drama has star cast Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles, the film is now slated to release on January 25. (NT)
