The no-confidence has been approved for the first time in the tenure of the Modi government over four years. There will be discussion and voting in the Lok Sabha on Friday. Like Modi, the Vajpayee government had also faced a no-confidence motion. Together with the opposition parties, the Congress came in a resolution against the Vajpayee government in August 2003.

The motion of no confidence against the Modi government has come at a time when there is less than one year left in the election. However, the NDA has a sufficient number, in which there is no threat to the government. In the same way, the NDA government, led by Vajpayee, had a majority figure. In spite of this, the Congress, in conjunction with the opposition, had brought a no-confidence motion against the Atal government in 2003 because they entrusted George Fernandes to the Ministry of Defense.

Under the leadership of Vajpayee, the first such non-Congress government was formed which fulfilled its tenure. After this, now another government is under the leadership of Narendra Modi, who seems to be fulfilling his five-year term. The NDA had easily overcome the no-confidence motion against the Vajpayee Government. While at that time BJP had fewer seats than the majority, but at present, BJP has 273 MPs in its own right.

In 2003, during the non-confidence motion brought against the Vajpayee Government, the NDA had comfortably beat the opposition in the counting of votes. NDA got 312 votes while the opposition was reduced to 186 votes. Voting on the non-confidence motion, Tamil Nadu's AIDMK and Farooq Abdullah's Party National Conference had kept themselves separate. While the BSP voted in favour of the Vajpayee Government.

The Congress may have lost in the House even in the non-confidence motion brought against the Vajpayee government. But the effect would have been the assembly elections of the four states that took place the same year and the Lok Sabha elections next year.

While Congress won a victory over Delhi, its impact was on the elections of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. BJP won the course here but its seats have already been reduced. After this, the leadership of the Congress in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections won the UPA.

The time for the non-confidence motion brought against the Modi government is similar. Although this time the non-confidence motion brought by Congress has not been approved, TDP has brought Andhra Pradesh to special states. While the Congress was bringing the issue of the failures of the Modi Government.
